A regular meeting of the Django Software Foundation Board of Directors was held via teleconference starting on 6 Feb, 2014, 4pm CST. Russell Keith-Magee led the meeting.

Old Business
Foundation tax status
Email sent to the membership by Russell. Responses were generally positive and supportive. Joseph has collected information from the board and hoping to mail by 14th Feb.
Membership on the donation was to be clarified.
CLA Language
No update.
PyCon US
No update.
CLAs for HP
No update. Was mentioned that there were multiple Dropbox folders containing information key to the DSF, including CLAs. Was suggested by the board to merge those Dropboxes and share the information.
Djangoproject.com web design update
The mocks are looking good, volunteers are needed to turn it into code.
Business during the month
DjangoCon Europe
There was a request for sponsorship from DjangoCon EU. The board decided to provide a substantive grants program instead, similar to DjangoCon US. The board approved $3k US for travel grants.
Adopting the code of conduct
The board is considering adopting a code of conduct.
Postgres kickstarter
Request for support for first class support for Postgres in the Django core. Request for approval of the concept by the board: approved by the board. Request for donation: $1,600 USD approved by the board.
Chicago Django grandfather request
Approved by all parties.
PyCon AU
No update.
Marc Tamlyn
Request to keynote at Django village in Italy in June. Positive board reaction, approval waiting on cost estimates.
New Business
Seperate logo
Should we have a separate logo for the foundation to create separation between the foundation and the project. Board felt that it wasn't needed.
T-shirt
Suggestion of a t-shirt campaign for Django 1.7, limited edition shirt. Funds would go to Django Foundation. Positive board reaction.
Heroku
Renewed their grant, giving the Foundation some credits. Russell to do a blog post on companies who have provided support.
